Yeovil Hospital’s OSCE prep training is delivered over a 4 day programme and based on the criteria set by the NMC. The course syllabus equips candidates with the practical and theoretical knowledge to pass the OSCE exam. Yeovil Hospital’s OSCE training is delivered on a ward set up specifically for this course, and to date candidates have had a 98% success rate whom have taken the training.

Led by experienced practitioners the programme covers all core elements set out in part 2 of the NMC test of competence:

  • Assessment, Implementation, Planning & Evaluation (AIPE)
  • Skills stations
  • Communication
  • Medicine management
  • Basic life support
  • Wound care

The course also features a mock assessment to ensure candidates have the opportunity to practice their skills under exam conditions in preparation for their final exam.

The cost of the OSCE training is £900.00 per candidate, which includes a mock exam.

Mock Exams

If you would like to take an additional mock OSCE exam or mock exam only, we can accommodate this in our OSCE centre. The cost of a mock exam is £100.00 per candidate/exam.

If you need accommodation while on your OSCE course, we can offer the following:

Convamore Single Room:

Single bedroom with own wash basin in a flat with kitchen, bathroom and toilet shared with up to 3 other guests. Maximum 1 person.
Price: £21 per night plus VAT

Convamore Double Room:

Double room with own wash basin and television, including DVD p;layer and catch-up TV, in a flat sharing kitchen, bathroom and toilet with up to 3 other people. Maximum 2 persons.
Price: £25 per night plus VAT
